Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Depending on your location on the first day of the safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide from Achieve Global Safaris who will brief you about the safari and then go for a city tour in Kigali where you will visit the art centres, Kimironko market, Kigali genocide memorial centre among others. After the city tour, you will go for lunch and later start the journey to Volcanoes National Park with great views of the rolling hills, beautiful scenery, landscape, and traditional homesteads among others on the way. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park and departure to Kigali
After an early breakfast on the second day of the the safari, you will carry a packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for the golden monkey trekking briefing. After the beefing, you will start trekking in the jungle in search of the golden monkeys which takes about 2 to 5 hours’ drive. During trekking, you will be able to view other primates, and bird species and once the golden monkeys are located, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat where you will be able to learn about their behaviours, watch them feed, jump up in trees, take photos, record videos among others.
After the one hour with the golden monkeys, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advice.
