The 3 days Akagera National Park wildlife safari is an interesting activity that will take you to Akagera National Park a savannah national park located in the eastern part of Rwanda. Akagera National Park is a home of different wildlife species including elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, rhinos, hyenas, impalas, oribi, giraffes, zebras, elands, waterbucks, bushbucks, and duikers among others. During the safari, you will engage in game drives where you will be able to spot various animals and a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will be able to view water animals like hippos and crocodiles.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Akagera National Park
Depending on your location on the first day of the 3 days Akagera National Park wildlife safari, you will be picked up from your hotel or airport by a driver guide from Achieve Global Safaris who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey. The Akagera National Park offers stunning views of the rolling hills, landscape, and homesteads among others. Upon arrival in Akagera National Park, you will connect to your lodge for lunch after you will go for an afternoon game drive in the park where you will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks among others. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days Akagera National Park wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to spot different animals like elephants, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes, bushbucks, impalas, zebras, topi oribi among others grazing in the savannah plains, view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas among others looking for a morning hunt, spot different bird species among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an amazing boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will be able to view hippos in water, crocodiles basking along the water banks, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes among others drinking water along the shores, aquatic bird species like kingfishers, cormorants, hornbills, fish eagles among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of the 3 days Akagera National Park wildlife safari, you will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will go for a city tour where you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial center, the art centers, and Kimironko Market among others. After the city tour, you will have lunch where your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advice.
