5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 1

You will leave Kampala for the 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park trip in the morning at 10am and take mityana- mubende route to fort portal where you will have lunch and also drive around fort portal town. After you will head to kasese and reach at kasese town around 10:30 pm in the evening. You will have some time to walk around kasese town and then drive to kikongoro culture center where you will stay for a few minutes as you take photos at the equator. After, you will proceed to queen the national park through katunguru main gate and you will spend the night at mweya safari lodge .

Day 2

Early in the morning you will wake up and take a ride to the queen’s pavilion and have a breakfast picnic there. You will stay at the queen’s pavilion for one hour as you see the panoramic view of Queen Elizabeth national park and also have a time to take some photos. Then after, you shall head for mabere ganyina mwiru and other historical places like the tooro kingdom palace and you will have a picnic there and then head for the royal tombs of tooro kingdom and learn about the folks and the babito that are responsible to keep the tombs and why.

Day 3

In the morning you will have breakfast at mweya safari lodge restaurant and after you will head to mweya visitors center and for 30 minutes,you will enjoy the time at the visitor centre, after you will head for the morning boat cruise and after go for the lunch at tembo restaurant at mweya safari lodge. In the evening you will go for the community walks in busonga village and after go back to your cottages.

Day 4

Wake up in the morning for the game drive in ishasha, and have breakfast there. Then you will head to katwe Crater Lake for the salt mining expedition and also visit the old salt mines. And then you will have lunch in katwe town. In the evening you will go for chimp trekking in kyambura gorge and after head back to mweya for the evening.

Day 5

You will go for nature walks in maramagambo forest, visit the bat cave, and spend some time in rubirizi town. Then head to kasese and have lunch, after, you will drive back through mbarara, then masaka town and straight to kampala. You will reach kampala at around 6pm in the evening and spend a night in kampala where you can enjoy the city night life. At the end of the 5 days queen elizabeth national park trip, you will have a story to tell.
