Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge is the newest luxury lodge in western Uganda located in Kabarole district 10km (6.2 miles) west of Fort portal close to Kibale forest national park which is known for harboring large numbers of primate species and offers the adventurous chimpanzee trekking and chimpanzee habituation experience. Aramaga is strategically located in that it overlooks the Africans Great Rift Valley escarpment, Toro-Semuliki wildlife reserve, Rwenzori Mountains and on a clear day you can see the Congo’s Blue Mountains and the outline of Lake Albert. The lodge was constructed from solar energy to green roof technology to protect the environment and harmonize with the natural landscape 

Accommodation facilities at Aramaga rift valley lodge

The lodge has 6 space themed pods namely Moonshot which is the more spacious pod with French double beds for guests with family, starship, galactic, orbit, supernova and gravity. Every pod offers visitors the space to unwind, enjoy great views from the comfort of the bed and a private roof top tab that sits up to 2 people. Each pod at the lodge has a reasonable sized bed, sitting area, green roof with roof top cold or hot tub Jacuzzi and offer breathtaking views of the natural landscape. Aramaga rift valley lodge offers various amenities like Wi-Fi, laundry services, dinning and yoga platform. The yoga and fitness programs are designed with beginners in mind and to inspire your own lifestyle and to reboot your body, mind and soul.

Aramaga rift valley lodge has local chefs who prepare delicious meals for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or dairy free visitors with locally sourced herbs, spices and other ingredients, visitors with allergies or intolerances are however advised to give prior notice. Aramaga rift valley lodge serves breakfast which is designed to get you going for the day and 3 course lunches and dinners. The lodge also offers early morning coffee or tea which is served to your room and a drink which is served to you in the comfort of your roof top tub.

Aramaga rift valley lodge also has a swimming pool which will help you to relax or recover from a day’s walk and make a few movements while relaxing in water

Due to its strategic location, the lodge acts as a perfect base for visitors who want to explore some of the best destinations in Uganda such as Kibale national park where you can engage in and adventurous chimpanzee trekking, chimpanzee habituation experience and nature walk, Rwenzori national park where you will engage in mountain climbing , Toro-Semuliki wildlife reserve and Queen Elizabeth national park which is the second largest protected area in Uganda that offers interesting activities like game drives, boat cruise on Kazinga channel, guided nature walk, chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge, bird watching, Lion tracking experience among others.

Aramaga rift valley lodge also offers selected daily activities that take place at the lodge area including picnics, star gazing and rift valley escarpment community walks. During the rift valley community walks visitors will be able to walk around the villages or communities next to the lodge with a local guide therefore visitors will get an opportunity to interact with the local people, learn about their culture, tradition, history, way of living, visit their homesteads, banana plantations, local schools, taste their local dishes, buy craft items among others 

How to access Aramaga lodge

The lodge is located in western Uganda Kabarole district west of Fort Portal town and can be accessed by both road and air transport mean, when using road transport you will drive from Kampala to Fort Portal which takes about 4 to 5 hours drive and 15 to 20 minutes drive to the lodge.

When using air transport means  you will book charter flights from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield to Saaka airstrip and then drive for about 10 minutes to Aramaga lodge.
