Lake Munyanyange Cave Resort
Lake Munyanyange Cave Resort is a mid –range accommodation found in Kasese in the western part of Uganda on the North East of lake Katwe ( salt lake) (in the heart of the parks’ Interior katwe and Kabatoro) In queen Elizabeth national park. The lodge is situated in the perfect place for relaxation and safari adventures while exploring Uganda’s famed queen Elizabeth national park .Lake Munyanyange is a bird sanctuary as well as migratory for lesser for flamingoes from August to November. One can be at the camp by road taking approximately 5-6 hours (370km) drive from Kampala city to queen Elizabeth national park then an hour flight from Entebbe international airport to close Kasese/Mweya airstrip and few minutes to be transferred to the lodge.
Lake Munyanyange Cave Resort is comprised of over 15 spacious and comfortable cottages including a family cottage overlooking the beautiful views of the lake and park built in African traditional style with grass thatched roof and local woods with high level of comfort .
Each cottage is well furnished and elevated to meet guest’s personal fondness with mosquito nets , bathroom with hot and cold showers, flushing toilets’ free toiletries , chairs and wooden tables ,free bottled water, slippers in the rooms and many more . Each cottage has large sitting areas and large veranda that give a panoramic view of the park, Rwenzori Mountain ranges and surrounding areas. The cottages have excellent and comfortable beddings with king sized bed. There are campfire pit where fire glows, guests relax as they share stories/ experiences about the safari, it also provides warmth during cold periods. The lodge offers Singles beds for individuals and double beds/ twins and family rooms as mentioned above with different costs ranging from 200$ and above per night per person, during peak season it goes slightly high than in low season .

They offer breakfasts, Picnic lunch and dinner served by well trained and organized staff. Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest and most visited national park found in western Uganda near historical town of Fort portal (Tourism city) in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi and Rukungiri. The park occupies the total area of 987 km squared .The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-westand includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. It’s the wide channel in Uganda with 32 kilometers long. There are different accommodations in Queen Elizabeth national park; budget ,mid range and luxury accommodations. The park has the variety of flora and fauna over 100 mammals and 612 species of bird which attract more tourists.
