Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda is done in different areas including kibale forest national park, Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth national park, Kalinzu forest and Budongo forest in Murchison falls national park. Chimpanzee trekking starts very early in the morning with a briefing at the park headquarters where after you will start trekking in the forest with a park guide who is well conversant with different trails. Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking you will be able to view other primate species like black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, l’hoest monkeys, olive baboons among others. Golden monkey trekking is only carried out in Mgahinga gorilla national park and just like chimpanzee trekking it starts with a briefing at the park headquarters where after you will start trekking in the jungle following trails of leftover bamboo shoots and leaves. Golden monkey trekking in Uganda takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where they are located and once they are found, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural environment which helps you to watch them jump up in tree branches, watch them feed, play, take photos and record videos.

Mountain climbing

Mountain climbing is another adventurous activity that you can engage in after a gorilla trekking safari in Uganda.
